Established as an idea to combine the experience of a Braai and a Safari together to recreate our tradition in the BIG 5 world, inside the famous Kruger National Park.

Braai is a word derived from the Afrikaans language referring to the rustic method of cooking meat on an open fire. In fact it is so important to us that we have a dedicated National Braai Day (Heritage Day) on 24th September, to unite our people.

You will get the chance to enjoy this unforgettable full day (duration 9 – 11 hours on a private vehicle) with a highly qualified Fgasa and experienced field guide, in a open safari vehicle to be more in tune and in “touch“ with your senses in this natural habitat.

All our safaris are inside the Kruger National Park which is the biggest Big 5 (Lion ,Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo) South Africa conservation area.

Your morning will start with a early departure (times subject to change depending on seasons) from Hoedspruit. Pick up and drop off from your Lodge if in Hoedspruit centre.

Although Hoedspruit is surrounded by the Kruger, the closest entrance to the park is only about an hours drive away from the centre of the town.
Your safari experience will start upon entering the park, where you will be free to ask your guide any questions about the wild surroundings.

A light breakfast will be included, as well as a braai lunch with 2 types of meat and local side dishes (vegetarian on request), which will be at a selected authorised area. Lunch will be at about mid day, when animals are less active and seeking shade, so more difficult to spot them. Here you will find the best way to fe  and understand true South Africa tradition, with good food in a secure wild environment.

After your lunch you will continue your safari, exiting the park before gate closing time and travelling back to Hoedspruit where you will be dropped off at your pick-up point.
